Letters from You

I only get to visit my father's grave two times a year - I live more than 700 miles away. I found that the stones we had placed on his grave last winter were still there. Thanks for making this tradition so meaningful.
     Lisa, Norfolk, VA

The stones were beautiful. My aunt would have really loved them. Thanks for filling our order so promptly.
     Molly, Baltimore, MD

We found some wonderful painted stones on my mother's grave yesterday. We don't know who put them there but it really touched our hearts. When we went home, we searched the web and found your site. Please send us two bags of stones and can you please put these initials on them: R.M. Thanks.
     Riva, Philadelphia, PA

We love the stones. My uncle's unveiling is next week and everyone in the family chose their favorite painting to leave on his grave.
     Myra, Lighthouse Point, FL

The flower stones were great. My cousin would have loved them - she was an artist. And thanks for the prayer. I wish I had known about your company long ago.
     Beth, Houston, TX

As a Christian, I never knew about the tradition of leaving a stone on the grave. My mother passed away and some of my Jewish friends placed stones painted with flowers and trees and even the Ten Commandments on her grave. I was so touched. Please send me three bags of stones and I'd love a copy of the prayer.
     Mary Rose, Cleveland, OH

Everyone said that the stones would be taken. That really didn't matter to me - it was the idea of leaving a stone that meant something to me and would have meaning to my Dad. When I returned to his grave after a few months, the stones were still there.
     Jacob - Portland, OR

I cried when I read your story about painting stones for your father. It was so much like my relationship with mine. When I visit his grave, I take my guitar and sing for him - he taught me how. I know he hears me.
     Sheila, Denver, CO

The way I found your web site was through our Temple. The gift shop (Sisterhood) bought some of your stones and are selling them. So I bought some for my son. He died in September, 2001 from Leukemia at the age of 16. We just bought a new house and I want to use the stones in special places in memory of Jonathan. After I got home I went onto your web site. At my son's funeral there was this butterfly that came out of the dirt from the grave. It flew all around us and then it went straight up and disappeared. Now when I see a butterfly I think Jonathan is close by. The Temple didn't have your butterfly stones, but I did find them on your website.
     Cheryl, Trenton, NJ

Since we don't traditionally put flowers on Jewish graves, the stones are the perfect idea. And surprisingly, they were not removed from the graves. I saw a lot of your stones in the cemetery.
     Scranton, PA

All the children from my son's class came to say goodbye to him. We gave each of them a painted stone to put on the grave. Then we said that beautiful prayer together. Thank you for the large butterfly stone you sent along with our order. We plan to use it in the memorial garden we're planting in Alex's name.

My husband passed away three years ago, and I visit his grave often, leaving a stone each time. It is so important to me to be able to express my love with stones that I've chosen for him.
     Alicia, Stockton, CA

Wouldn't it be a great gesture to put these stones on the graves of our soldiers? I know it would mean a lot to their families.
     Gerald, Arlington, VA

I need flowers for my wife. She loved her garden and cared for it until the week before she died. Please send me 40 nature stones - one for each year we had together.
     Martin, Baltimore, MD

I never knew my baby girl. She drew her first breath and then she was gone. I think she would have loved these balloons and flowers and butterflies had she lived to see them. The stones are to be part of a memorial garden we planted in her name.
     Yael, Galveston, TX

My father was seven years old when the Nazi's came and took his family to Buchanwald. He never saw his parents again, but somehow survived three years of hell. Fortunately, distant family members brought him to the U.S. after the war. Last year, after battling cancer, he passed away quietly in his sleep, taking with him all the history of our family. He never spoke of them, or the horrors he experienced. I would like some very special stones with Jewish symbols for his grave. These will be for him and for all the family I never knew.
     Yakov, Washington, DC

Thank you. The stones were even more beautiful than the pictures on your website.
     Eve, Jacksonville, FL

Stones are eternal - fitting for a memorial to someone we loved.
