This is to tell you a little about my life, my art and how Judaic Stones came to be.

My father was the light of my life. His gentle humor saw me through the pangs of adolescence and young adulthood. He taught me to laugh. He taught me to sing. He taught me to paint. If there was one thing I knew for sure, it was that he would always be there for me.

I was wrong. I went out of town on a job interview, armed with the self-assurance he instilled in me. That night, in my hotel room, the call came. Daddy had passed away, alone, in a hospital bed.

In the years that passed, I visited his grave often, telling him about my life. Each time, I picked a smooth stone from the river and painted it with the places or things he loved, and left it on his gravesite. It was my way of saying, "I love and miss you, Daddy".

During one visit, someone asked me to paint a stone for her mother, who had recently passed away. This led to many such requests.

I now paint river stones not only for my father but for all the other fathers and mothers and children whose families want to remember them in a special way. It occurred to me that you might be interested in giving these stones to those families who have lost a loved one.
